Know Me 👑

Hey there…

So I want to you share a little bit about myself. You know…just so you will have an idea of who you messing with…

So obviously I’m a mommy to an adorable 3yr old named Logan ☺️. He is my everything. He’s made me into the woman I am today. He’s taught me patience, love, and how to enjoy life’s little things. Watching him grow has been my greatest joy and blessing. He is so smart, and he just gets smarter by the day. No one  told me he was going to grow so fast 🙈 😩.  I get carried away when I talk about my son. I just really enjoy motherhood, it’s an experience like no other.

I am a mom first, then I’m a spoiled brat daughter to my unmarried parents. I’m my dads only child and I have two younger brothers (same mother), one niece😍, three adorable living grandparents (rest in peace to my grandfather who died when I was 7), one uncle and aunt, six first cousins, a bunch of 2nd and 3rd cousins, great aunts and uncles, and a 94 year old great grandma. I said all that to say, I’m blessed and my family really means a lot to me. We don’t talk everyday, but I’d go to the end of the earth and back for all of them. Family keeps me sane.

School, I miss school so much. I graduated from college so I like to consider myself an educated black woman. I graduated an Elizabeth City State University Viking on 12/13/14, (I love seeing that date) with the December Class of 2014. That is definitely a day I will never forget. Graduating from that school was a huge accomplishment for me. Many nights I didn’t think I was going to ever get out. I had to make it though, I owed it to my dad, my son, and myself. Besides attending ECSU, I went to St Augustine in Raleigh, NC for a semester and a half before transferring. Before my post secondary education I was a private school girl. My dad sent me to all the best private schools in Washington, D.C. . Yes, I’m from the southeast quadrant of nation’s capital (AKA Washington D.C. ) but in the city we affectionately call it: “The Soufside.”

The one thing I took from all the schools I attended were some amazing friends. I thank God for the beautiful girls I’ve been so blessed to call friends. They are so supportive and motivating.  My world wouldn’t be the same without them. The crazy thing is, as beautiful, and as smart as we all are we are all SINGLE. Well except for one of them, but the rest of us, SINGLE. Funny right? Cracks me up too.

Yes I’m single fellas, don’t all jump at once, and to avoid any confusion, I take care of my son single handedly. ALONE. Don’t ask why, I don’t really have an answer.

Besides momming, I love reading, writing, eating, listening to 90s R&B, dancing, doing hair, and my favorite, shopping. My latest hobby I picked this year is travel shopping: shopping on vacation. I just like saying things like”oh I bought these earrings in Puerto Rico , and this swim suit is from Jamaica 😌”.

This blog really serves an outlet for me. I chose to share my life experiences with other people because it’s real and I know someone somewhere can relate.

When I find out new things via experience, book, internet, friends, whatever, I always think, if I knew that before this would probably be a bit easier or have a different outcome. So, this is my attempt to possibly make things easier for you. My way may not be your way, but my way may encourage A WAY.

So please, sit back, enjoy, and share experiences with me. I want to learn from y’all too! Tell me your way, it could help with my way. I’m not a genius, but I’ve learned a few things during life’s journey that I’d love to share.

Watch me mom, slay, save and repeat. In that order💁🏽👑.

Until next time ✌🏽️❤️
